Lexington (KY). Kentucky Wildcats. player. 833. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oct 2. 5

Florida will start the month of October with a matchup vs Kentucky, which they have dominated for the last thirty years. The Wildcats have been competitive vs Florida ever since Mark Stoops was hired and this could be a trap game for Florida. Lexington is a tough place to play and Kentucky is hoping that a revamped offensive staff can fix their problems on that side of the ball and have a legitimate offense to along with what should be another stingy defense.

This will be a close game, but I think I trust Florida’s offense more than Kentucky’s. The Gators defense gets a few key stops in the game and seals a key SEC East win vs Kentucky.

Final Score: Florida 31, Kentucky 24 (4-1, 2-1 SEC)

Pick Analysis. player. Scouting Report. Oct 9. Gainesville (FL). Vanderbilt Commodores. 6. 887

Florida will return home to take on Vanderbilt, who is hoping that new head coach Clark Lea can pull them out of the SEC east cellar. This should be one of the easier games on the Gator’s schedule, as I don’t think that Vanderbilt has what it takes to hang with Florida in Lea’s first season.

Vanderbilt has long been unable to compete consistently with the top teams in the east and they are hoping that under Lea, a former Vandy assistant, that they can unlock some potential in the program. I just don’t think that will show in year one and I expect Florida to roll in this one.

Final Score: Florida 48, Vanderbilt 17 (5-1, 3-1 SEC)
