Florida Football: Way too early predictions for 2021 schedule
Florida will close out their SEC schedule with a trip to Missouri to face the Tigers, a team that has given them trouble ever since they got in the SEC in 2012. I think that Missouri could be the third-best team in the east this season after surprising some people last year in coach Eli Drinkwitz first season on the job. The Tigers will be returning quarterback Connor Bazelak, who should be one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC this year after winning the job last year.
I think that the Tigers will be a tough out in 2021, but I don’t think that they will be ready to compete with the likes of Georgia and Florida just yet. I think that Missouri is building something nice, but it will still be a year before you should expect a possible breakthrough.
Final Score: Florida 34, Missouri 20 (8-3, 5-3 SEC)
Florida will wrap up their 2021 season by renewing its rivalry with Florida State. The game was not able to be played last season due to COVID-19 and it will be good to see these two teams playing each other at the end of the year. Florida has dominated the rivalry as of late and will be looking to keep that streak going.
Florida State has been an underwhelming program lately and the Seminoles will be relying on a lot of transfers to help make Mike Norvell’s second season in Tallahassee better than his first. UCF transfer quarterback McKenzie Milton will look to guide the Seminoles back to a bowl game. Milton is coming off a serious injury and has not played since 2017, so is play could determine how far Florida State can go this season. I think that Florida has an advantage at every level in this game however and should win this one big.
Final Score: Florida 35, Florida State 17 (9-3, 5-3 SEC)
