15. player. 47. North Dakota State. Trey Lance. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB

Don’t let Trey Lance fall to Kill Belichick and the Patriots at No. 15. Please, NFL, just don’t do it. Well, in this mock, it happens and it won’t be pretty for the rest of the league.

Lance has been mocked all over the place by draft experts. He has gone as high as No. 6 and I’ve seen him fall into the teens. In my first mock, I had him going to the Panthers to replace Teddy Bridgewater, but if Carolina decides that it needs to go a different route and it doesn’t believe Lance is the future, I could see him dropping to No. 15.

If that happens, Belichick is going to be beaming. He’s going to be licking his chops and rubbing his hands together, just knowing that he might have his next great quarterback.

Cam was an absolute letdown this season, so this pick would make plenty of sense.

Lance is good. Is he top-10 lock good? Not quite because he requires some molding. He’s a bit raw and will need a year or two to develop, but he’s going to be really good when he realizes his potential.

Don’t be scared away by his lack of elite competition while at North Dakota State. He has all the tools to be a really good NFL quarterback, led by his athleticism and strong arm. He has the tools and Belichick is the right guy to utilize them.

Like I said, don’t let this happen, NFL. We don’t need another Patriots dynasty.
