Scouting Report. Christian Barmore. 17. player. 28. Pick Analysis. DT. Alabama

This might be the point in the draft when you see a chunk of defensive linemen come off the board. Just a few picks earlier, I have Gregory Rousseau going to the Vikings and then Kwity Paye to the Cardinals and the Raiders might feel this is the perfect time to snag a defensive tackle which is arguably their biggest need.

Raiders fans might not be super excited about this pick, but Christian Barmore is the top interior defensive lineman in this class the Las Vegas needs to jump at this opportunity.

Barmore only saw action in two seasons with the Crimson Tide and was as steady as can be, recording 26 tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks as a freshman with two batted down passes. He improved as a sophomore with 37 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three batted passes and three forced fumbles.

Proving that he’s only getting better with each passing year, the Raiders could try to turn him into the NFL’s next star defensive tackle.
