2021 NFL Mock Draft: First-round projections after Super Bowl LV
Chicago’s offense wasn’t pretty in 2020. The Bears shuffled back and forth with their quarterbacks and that might just be a priority when it comes to this draft cycle, but they’re not going to reach for a second-round graded quarterback here at No. 20. This pick can be used to either an offensive lineman or a receiver.
Allen Robinson becomes a free agent this offseason and although Bears fans have been calling for the organization to make a deal with him, it looks like he’s gone.
That means they will be looking to replace him with a guy who could mold into that go-to receiver. Rondale Moore could be that guy.
Moore is an electric receiver and although he’s not graced with size (5-foot-9, 180 pounds), he is probably as exciting as any prospect in this draft class. He broke out as a true freshman in 2018 with 114 receptions for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns but had injury-riddled sophomore and junior seasons, playing just seven total games in those years.
When healthy, Moore was one of the best receivers in the country and he did all of his damage as a true freshman. Imagine what he can do with some experience and injury-free years. The Bears could use an electric receiver like this to bring excitement back to the offense.
