Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. Texas. Samuel Cosmi. 21. player. 46

Most first-round offensive line prospects only get better throughout their collegiate careers and Samuel Cosmi is no exception. But he also started very good. He was a Freshman All-American in 2018 and then earned All-Big 12 honors as a sophomore (second-team) before getting named to the first-team in 2020 and even being recognized as an All-American by CBS Sports and 247Sports.

Sure, the Colts need a quarterback, but there’s no chance they reach for someone like a Mac Jones or Kyle Trask right here. Jones may not be the biggest reach as a first-round graded quarterback by some experts, but I just don’t think he’s the future of the Colts at No. 21.

If Indianapolis wants to go the safe route, Cosmi is the guy.

Cosmi is a 6-foot-7, 300-pounder with right tackle written all over him. He will be a nice addition to an offensive line that desperately needs upgrades. He could move over to left tackle eventually, but he will definitely start his NFL career on the right side.

I could also see the Colts going wide receiver here if there’s one that they like still on the board.
