2021 NFL Mock Draft: First-round projections after Super Bowl LV
Lamar Jackson needs some help at receiver. For a former MVP, only giving him Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews to throw the ball to is criminal. Sure, Andrews is one of the best tight ends in football, but Brown is the only receiver with a pulse which really limits the passing game. Defenses are able to key in on Andrews and Brown.
Although the ideal scenario here for Baltimore would be to add an outside receiver with size to complement Brown, Kadarius Toney is probably the top receiver on the board at No. 27. It’s close, though, because I’m a little more bullish on Ole Miss’ AJ Brown than most so I could see him going here as well.
Toney was a monster for Florida this season, though. He finished with a career-high 70 receptions for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown, finishing with over 1,100 all-purpose yards and 11 scores. He added a punt return touchdown as well.
Baltimore needs a receiver here and Toney is the type of speedy game-changer that could really take the Ravens’ offense to the next level.
