player. 15. DT. Georgia. Azeez Ojulari. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 28

In my first stab at a 2021 NFL Mock Draft following the national title game, I didn’t have Azeez Ojulari going in the first round. My tune has changed after watching some of his highlights and reading up on his strengths and protections.

This dude can straight up ball.

New Orleans has some glaring needs on the defensive line and in the defensive backfield and some think the Saints may take a quarterback to help replace Drew Brees when he inevitably retires here soon. He just took a pay cut to prepare for his retirement and help the Saints out but are Taysom Hill or Jameis Winston really the best options to replace him.

If you’re the Saints, however, you’re not going to find your guaranteed franchise quarterback here at No. 28 overall, so going with the other need on the defensive line with the talented Ojulari would be the next best move.

Ojulari is explosive and can play some outside linebacker as well as being an edge defender, so look for the Saints to target the versatile defender late in the first.
