Nick Saban and Alabama football just signed the best recruiting class in school history and 2022 looks to be every bit as impressive.

When you think of Alabama football, you think of winning championships and reeling in the best recruiting classes in the country. The 2021 class was no exception.

Just a month after winning yet another national title under Nick Saban, the Crimson Tide turned around and signed the best recruiting class of all time. Alabama had the No. 1 class in the country and it happened to be Saban’s best ever which is wild considering how good of a recruiter he’s been in his time in Tuscaloosa.

That’s also a scary thought.

But 2022 could be just as good for the Crimson Tide and they will have some of the nation’s top athletes on the board. Who tops the list of early targets for the Tide?

Quickly becoming ‘RBU’, Alabama could add another elite running back to the list if Emmanuel Henderson chooses the Crimson Tide next month.

Although it’s still relatively early in the 2022 class cycle, Henderson has revealed that he will be committing on March 13 and Alabama is the early favorite. The Crimson Tide will be trying to hold off in-state rival Auburn for Henderson’s services. It makes sense because Henderson reigns from the state of Alabama so having Auburn and the Tide in his final two is fitting.

Henderson is the No. 22 prospect in the 2022 class as well as the No. 1 running back, according to the composite. He’s listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds which isn’t the truck-like build of a Najee Harris or Derrick Henry, but he provides electricity to the run game.
