Another thing Alabama has been known for in the Nick Saban era has been elite defensive line play and Walter Nolen would be quite the addition to a 2022 class that figures to be stacked.

Do we know which direction Nolen is currently leaning? No, he’s been keeping things close to his vest right now but that could all change in the coming months, especially if the NCAA ever lifts the in-person recruiting suspension which has been ongoing since COVID-19 hit the United States.

The Tennessee-native is being recruited heavily by a handful of schools and he currently holds over two dozen offers. Tennessee, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Michigan, LSU and Clemson are all going to push Alabama for Nolen, but the Crimson Tide may have the biggest draw since they put defensive linemen in the NFL every year.

Nolen is ranked the No. 2 prospect in the 2022 class and the No. 1 defensive tackle, according to the composite.

Imagine trying to block his 6-foot-4, 300-pound aggressive frame on the interior. Not going to happen.
