2. Denver Broncos (No. 9)

I was going to have the Carolina Panthers here at No. 2, but I’m just not sold on that offense outside of Christian McCaffrey obviously. Sure, he’d take a ton of pressure off fields because he’s one of the best pass-catching running backs in the nation, but that won’t help Justin Fields develop quickly.

Taking over the Broncos would provide a tough task for Fields, but they have shown that with the right quarterback in place, it’s pretty easy to win in Denver.

Offense is probably the way to go for Denver here and the feeling is that Drew Lock may not be the future after all. There’s still a chance they stick with him and ride it out for another season, but if Fields somehow drops to No. 9 overall, there’s no way the Broncos should let him pass.

Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, DaeSean Hamilton and KJ Hamler are all intriguing young receivers who would make life easier for Fields and Noah Fant is one of the bright young tight ends in the NFL. He would also have Melvin Gordon behind him in the backfield.

Denver isn’t a bad place for a young quarterback, especially with all the bright young stars on offense.
