Texas A&M Football: Top 4 early targets in 2022 recruiting class

In order to make room for Denver Harris on this list, some top prospects didn’t make the cut and I think Chace Biddle could have easily been here. But Harris is one of the best prospects in the entire country and Texas A&M is smack-dab in the middle of his recruitment.

In fact, a few teams are standing out early to the five-star cornerback from Houston: Alabama, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M. There is only one crystal ball for him on 247Sports and it’s a low-confidence pick to Texas. Things may have changed with Tom Herman on his way out and Steve Sarkisian being hired, but the Longhorns have the proximity pitch going for them.

Texas A&M has that, too, but holding off Alabama and LSU along with an in-state rival won’t be an easy task for Jimbo Fisher.

Especially since Bobby Taylor is getting ready to commit. Sure, every programs needs a couple of cornerbacks in each recruiting class so that may not be a huge worry for Harris, but it’s something to consider.

Harris is ranked the No. 6 overall prospect and third-best cornerback in the class.
