The Buckeyes made it to the College Football Playoff, falling short in the National Championship game. These are three offseason questions for Ohio State football.

The Ohio State football team made its second straight appearance in the College Football Playoff, losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the championship game. In two seasons, Ryan Day has kept the Ohio State program at an elite level. Day and his staff have kept the standard while recruiting at a higher level.

Despite the success, the Buckeyes have experienced in two years under Day, Ohio State is still looking for the first national title since 2014. This season, Ohio State football won a fourth consecutive Big Ten title to their third appearance in the College Football playoff.

Next season does not bring a lot of turnover on the Buckeyes’ roster, but there are some significant losses in Columbus next season. Quarterback Justin Fields, guard Wyatt Davis and running back Trey Sermon are all off to the NFL next season, as is cornerback Shaun Wade.  Linebackers Tuf Borland and Pete Werner are also gone.

Who is going to take the place of the outgoing talent? Can the Buckeyes make another run to the College Football Playoff? Is this the season Michigan ends the losing streak? These are some of the important offseason questions for Ohio State. Here are three more.
