Although he may not be projected as a first-rounder by most experts, Ole Miss football star Elijah Moore will make one team lucky in round two.

Elijah Moore made himself some money in 2020. After a solid sophomore season in which he grabbed 67 passes for 850 yards and six touchdowns, Moore broke out for 1,193 yards and 14 touchdowns after catching 86 passes. He was an absolute machine for the Ole Miss offense.

Lane Kiffin had quite the effect on the Rebels’ offense seeing as Matt Corral, too, had a breakout season and was a big reason Moore became a superstar — and vice versa. Without Moore, Corral doesn’t have the same amount of success he had in 2020.

Now that Moore has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft, he’s looking like one of the top prospects in the class and while he may not be a lock as a first-rounder, he could still go early to mid-second.

When draft day does come around, which teams should be considered ideal landing spots for Moore?

3. Miami Dolphins (No. 36 or No. 50)

DeVante Parker was the leading receiver for the Dolphins last season and while he had a nice bounce-back year, his 63 catches for 794 yards and four touchdowns didn’t exactly scream WR1. While he may be growing into a bigger role with Miami, there’s really no one else to complement him.

In fact, the next closest receiver who wasn’t a running back or tight end was Jakeem Grant who had just 373 yards and a touchdown catch — not exactly impressive.

If Miami does decide to hang on to Tua Tagovailoa instead of trading him for a more experienced quarterback like Deshaun Watson, he’ll need some talented young targets outside of Parker and Mike Gesicki. Even if the Dolphins do trade for Watson, adding receivers should be a priority. If they don’t spend one of their two first-round picks on a wide out, Elijah Moore would be a heck of a steal at Nos. 36 or 50 overall.

Although he’s not the biggest wide out, he has the ability to become a sure-handed go-to target like he showed in his final season at Ole Miss.
