Pick Analysis. Sept 18. Austin (TX). Rice Owls. player. Scouting Report. 3. 2404

Texas will come home from their road game vs Arkansas to have their last non-conference game of the 2021 season and it will be against in-state foe Rice. This will be one of the easier games of the season for Texas and they should win it with ease. The big thing for the Longhorns will be making sure that they get some of their younger players time on the field and that they don’t suffer any injuries to any player. Expect a big Texas victory here.

Final Score: Texas 49, Rice 13 (3-0)

Scouting Report. 4. 874. Pick Analysis. Sept 25. Austin (TX). Texas Tech Red Raiders. player

For the first Big 12 game of the season, Texas football will stay in Austin and face in-state rival Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are in year three under head coach Matt Wells and he is under pressure to deliver a winning season in 2021.

When Wells was hired away from Utah State, the hire was widely liked and it was thought that Wells would start winning sooner rather than later in Lubbock. That has not been the case. Wells revamped the coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball in hopes of improvement.

I don’t like the feeling around this Texas Tech program right now and I think this could be Wells last season in Lubbock. I think Texas wins big here.

Final Score: Texas 42, Texas Tech 21 (4-0, 1-0 Big 12)
