TCU Horned Frogs. 5. 872. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oct 2. Fort Worth (TX). player

Heading into October, Texas will be tasked with a bit of a trap game. TCU will be one of the sneaky teams in the Big 12 this season and could be a dark horse to win the conference, or at a bare minimum, be a spoiler for some teams. I think this will be one of the prime spots for the Horned Frogs to get a win against one of the favorites in the conference.

TCU has been in a slump these past couple of seasons and I think that this could be the prime spot for a bounce-back season. The offense should be better and the defense is usually stingy under Gary Patterson. Patterson has been great vs Texas since their jump to the Big 12 and I think they get another win here.

Final Score: Texas 27, TCU 28 (4-1, 1-1 Big 12)

Pick Analysis. Oct 9. Oklahoma Sooners. player. 815. Scouting Report. Dallas (TX). 6

This is always one of the most anticipated games of the year around the country and it should be another fun one after the shootout last season.

Oklahoma is coming into the season with as much preseason hype as anyone around the country and for good reason. Quarterback Spencer Rattler is possibly the leading Heisman candidate heading into the season and with some key transfers on the offensive line and running back, the Sooners should be rolling on offense this season.

The reason that Oklahoma may make the leap from contender to playoff winner is their defense. The Sooners took a big leap on that side of the ball and that will be the key storyline heading into 2021. I believe the Sooners have what it takes to make it to the playoff and win this year and Texas won’t be able to stop them.

Final Score: Texas 38, Oklahoma 42 (4-2, 1-2 Big 12)
