Oct 16. Austin (TX). Oklahoma State Cowboys. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 7. player. 856

After a couple of tough losses, the Longhorns will need to come back home to find a way to bounce back. Oklahoma State does not enter the season with as much as hype as they did last season, but they will still be a tough team to beat as long as Mike Gundy is the head coach.

Cowboys quarterback Spencer Sanders is back to lead the offense that will need to replace running back Chuba Hubbard and wide receiver Tylan Wallace. The defense was one of the best in the conference last season and could be once again.

One of the best games of the season in the Big 12 last season was between Texas and Oklahoma State and it could be another shootout. Both quarterbacks have the potential to be among the best in the conference and that is what makes this game so fun. Texas wins a close one at home.

Final Score: Texas 31, Oklahoma State 28 (5-2, 2-2 Big 12)

Scouting Report. Oct 30. Waco (TX). 8. Pick Analysis. Baylor Bears. player. 860

Texas will have a bye week after their bounce-back victory over Oklahoma State and then they will hit the road to take on in-state rival Baylor. The Bears are hoping to be better in 2021 under second-year head coach Dave Aranda and they will need to improve vastly on offense if that is to happen. The Bears were stingy on the defensive side of the ball last season, but the offense was a dreadful watch at times. Some new coaches on offensive should do the trick.

I think that Aranda will get things going in Waco, but I think that this will be another transition season for the program as they look to build a Big 12 contender.

Final Score: Texas 35, Baylor 21 (6-2, 3-2 Big 12)
