Clemson is losing Jackson Carman to the NFL this offseason and while the Tigers will be reloading along that offensive line, especially at tackle, it can’t hurt to add more elite prospects in the trenches. Every elite program has steady play in the trenches and Clemson is no different.

Gunner Givens could be that next star at the tackle spot and he should be one of Clemson’s top targets in the 2022 class.

The four-star tackle is ranked the No. 91 overall prospect in the class and is listed as the eighth-best offensive tackle and third-best recruit from the state of Virginia, according to the composite. He’s being heavily pursued by the likes of Penn State, Ohio State, Alabama and home-state Virginia Tech, but the Tigers are in good shape here.

Clemson seems to be the current leader for his services, but Penn State is right on the Tigers’ heels.

Givens stands 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 290 pounds and played a lot of tight end at the high school level before transitioning to tackle, so you know the athleticism is there. He’s going to be near the top of Clemson’s board until he signs.
