Kansas Football: 3 head-coaching candidates to replace Les Miles
Craig Bohl
If I was in charge of the Kansas football head coaching search, Craig Bohl would be the first phone call that I would make.
Everyone marvels at the dominance of North Dakota State football and he was the man to lead it to the promised land. He built NDSU up from not even being an FCS program to being talked about as a team that should be playing in the FBS.
In 2003, when he took over NDSU was a D-II football program. Bohl built into a powerhouse, then left for Wyoming, where after two losing seasons, he won four winning seasons in a row until 2020.
Bohl knows the Midwest and was the linebackers coach, as well as defensive coordinator at Nebraska from 1995-2003. So he will know how to recruit the part of the country where Kansas needs to recruit. He also knows how to build a winner and will be committed for the long haul.
Bohl has done a really solid job at Wyoming, but you know he’s itching for the chance to be a Power-5 head coach and Kansas football would provide the perfect opportunity.
