2. Battle for backup running back

Alabama is going to have to replace Najee Harris, one of the best running backs in program history.

The answer to who is going to replace Harris seems to be pretty clear, with last year’s backup Brian Robinson Jr. back. He should be able to step in and be an impact starter and one of the best running backs in the entire SEC.

The battle to be the backup is going to be the key for the Alabama offense.

The initial answer to that question is going to be former five-star back Trey Sanders. He suffered an injury that prevented him from playing during his first season in Tuscaloosa and then got into a car accident last season. Sanders has a wealth of talent and if he can live up to his recruiting billing, this Alabama offense becomes that much more scary.

Other names to watch in the backfield will be Jase McClellan and incoming five-star back Camar Wheaton.

Sanders is the favorite, but someone else could emerge this spring.
