5. Utah State (W)

There is always something to appreciate about old, historic rivalries. This statement is exponentialized whenever the rivalry is in-state. But one would not know it by this meeting. Two blowouts in a row for Brigham Young.

Record: 4-1

6. Boise State (L)

The Cougars and Broncos going at it is a consistent promise for a good time on the gridiron for football fans everywhere. BYU shockingly rolled right through Boise State in their 2020 matchup, but them doing so again just sounds too far-fetched to believe. The Cougs will put up a good fight, but will ultimately fall short against the Broncos.

Record: 4-2

7. Baylor (W)

A close victory will be awaiting Brigham Young as they enter Waco, Texas, to take on the Baylor Bears. BYU is merely in a better state as a program after last year, and will beat up on the Bears to compensate for their Boise State failure.

Record: 5-2

8. Washington State (W)

A third consecutive game versus a worthy opponent, and subsequently a third consecutive game that BYU struggles in all throughout. Wazzu is rather mediocre against weaker Power Five competition, and that will be a game-changing factor in deciding the outcome here. But the Cougars should count their blessings, as their luck just might be running out.

Record: 6-2
