Games 9-12

Wake Forest: Win

The Deacons have become a more concrete foe in the Atlantic Coast world, but will only break through North Carolina so far.

This is a game where the quality of recruits you obtain dictates the outcome. Wake Forest will merely be outmatched over time. But the showdown will remain competitive all throughout, with the Heels likely winning by under 20 points.

Pittsburgh: Win

A mediocre team who is almost certain to lose by a wide margin. This game will perhaps be the most forgettable of UNC’s entire conference slate. This will be a 24-point win.

Wofford: Win

If Pitt is North Carolina’s most forgettable conference obstacle, then Wofford is the most forgettable overall. The best way to describe this meeting would be to watch a fight between real Tarheels and Terriers.

A projection of the final score is absolutely pointless, but let’s slap one on here anyway: UNC takes it, 59-7.

North Carolina State: Loss

The stun of the season for North Carolina football will come against their main football rival, the NC State Wolfpack.

The Pack ripped off a surprising 8-4 record last year (the same as UNC), hosts this game, and is catching the Heels after a dominant season.

While they look ahead to the conference championship game, BAM! State catches them by surprise. A competitive game, but ultimately an underdog win for the Wolfpack.

The Tarheels finish their regular season 10-2, with a single conference loss. They take the Coastal Division, lose to Clemson in the ACC title game, and find themselves in a New Year’s 6 bowl for a second-straight year.
