Iowa Football: Game-by-game predictions for Hawkeyes in 2021
By Austin Lloyd
The Hawkeyes are no strangers to winning, despite playing in one of the tougher Power 5 conferences out there. But will 2021 tell a different story?
Iowa Football appears to have a very winnable schedule, by Big Ten standards at least. Playing in the conference’s West division, the Hawkeyes dodge Michigan State, Michigan, and, most importantly, Ohio State in their regular-season stretch.
But not all of their games are cakewalks, however. Iowa will still have to face Wisconsin, Penn State, and the strangely decent Indiana Hoosiers. This does not even include having to travel to Ames to battle Iowa State, who is easily their biggest out-of-conference foe.
If the Hawkeyes can down the Badgers and perhaps Northwestern (the defending Big Ten West champs), they can find themselves on track to face off against Ohio State in the conference championship game.
But trap games are quite commonplace in the Big Ten. Will Iowa find this out the hard way? Will it make their conference title game or even a bowl? Here are the 2021 game-by-game predictions for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
