Games 1-4

Northwestern: Loss

A conference defeat in week one is not particularly helpful in achieving the goal of conjuring up a dominant season. But unfortunately, that is exactly what Michigan State will endure.

Northwestern, who just so happens to be the defending champions of the Big Ten West, will be at home for its season-opening game versus MSU, and the Wildcats will easily survive the affair by at least two scores.

Youngstown State: Win

Losing a conference battle in your inaugural game of a season is some pretty tough luck, but you know what’s even tougher? Being the Youngstown State Penguins. Michigan State will learn this lesson after they throttle YSU heading into week three.

Miami: Loss

And just like that, the Spartans are already back to losing. Hard Rock Stadium is no easy place to win, especially when the Hurricanes are playing g rather decent football. Miami taking this one by over 20 points should come as no surprise.

Nebraska: Win

Why did Nebraska even leave the Big 12 anyway? If the Huskers had stayed put, they would not be losing to Michigan State in 2021.

Cornhuskers head coach Scott Frost is just not working out for Nebraska, and this loss will be another reminder of that to add to their collection. MSU holds an even 2-2 record after their first third of the regular season.
