Games 9-12

Purdue: Win

Michigan State will bounce back after their rivalry loss, but not as awesomely as they would prefer.

Hopping back on the trend of winning games by less than you should, MSU will noticeably struggle some here. The game is at Purdue, and Boilermaker fans can get pretty rowdy when on their own turf. But as the old saying goes, a win is a win.

Maryland: Win

The Spartans will officially be on another winning streak, beating Purdue and Maryland in back-to-back weekends. If only that meant something.

Ohio State: Loss

In the era of the Ancient Rome Colosseum, the promise of unnecessary violence was what drove the masses to attend the spectacles that were held there. It was, in a rather unsettling way, quite entertaining for those who showed up to watch.

In some aspects, humanity still practices such barbaric interests, and that is why Ohio Stadium will be packed for when the Buckeyes run the Spartans (appropriately enough) out of Columbus.

Penn State: Loss

The Nittany Lions playing MSU just might be the most forgettable game of the Big Ten Conference in 2021. Penn State will merely travel to Michigan, win strongly but not by a blowout, and subsequently kill the Spartans’ chances of concluding their regular season schedule with a winning record.

The Michigan State Spartans will just barely make the postseason with a bowl-eligible regular season ratio of 6-6. As a result, they will “earn” a mediocre bid, and put on a mediocre performance, to wrap up a mediocre year. Perhaps 2022 will treat MSU Football a little bit better.
