These 10 HBCU football players have a shot at getting their names called in the NFL draft.

Historically black colleges and universities have always been a hotbed for NFL-caliber talent. When people discuss great HBCU players, people often think about Walter Payton and Jerry Rice. However, there are great HBCU players in the league now.

South Carolina State alum Darius Leonard is arguably the best linebacker in the NFL.  Another former Bulldog, Javon Hargrave, is a top-tier, run-stuffing interior defensive tackle. Former North Carolina A&T Aggie Tarik Cohen has had a solid career with the Chicago Bears.

This season, there are several solid prospects that either will get drafted or be high-priority free-agents. High-priority free agents are players who are not drafted but get signed within hours after the draft.

Just because you do not get drafted does not mean that you are not good enough to make an NFL team. Ask the likes of Priest Holmes, Rod Smith and Wes Welker.

This list of 10 players is most likely to get drafted. Some of them have been on the radar because they are transfers from Power Five programs. Others were late bloomers who developed while in school.

North Carolina A&T has the most representation on this list with three players. The only quarterback on the list is Aqeel Glass.

Here are 10 of the best HBCU NFL prospects.
