1. Duquesne (W)

The chances of the Dukes coming out on top over TCU are as likely as me pronouncing the name of their university correctly on the first try. And those are some unspectacular odds.

Record: 1-0

2. California (W)

Now here is a dub that is actually important. California has what it takes to beat the Horned Frogs on paper. But the Golden Bears look no better than TCU, despite playing noticeably worse competition. Physical game, fair fight, but the Frogs take the win. And they will visibly outplay the Bears in the process.

Record: 2-0

3. SMU (W)

The victories are getting sweeter and sweeter for TCU here. The third and final non-conference game of their 2021 regular season will lift them up to an appealing 3-0 record.

SMU travels to a brutal site to face a bigger program that is coming off of a bye week. The Mustangs are good, but will lose by around 10 or 12 points to the Frogs in this one.

Record: 3-0

4. Texas (W)

The Longhorns have the better players, and are in a better overall state as a football team right now.

However, Texas holds a mysterious future with unproven head coach Steve Sarkisian, TCU will be at home for their fourth straight game, and the latter will be hyped up about their unbeaten record heading into conference opposition. A safe bet would be that the Frogs’ crowd will be hyped up as well.

Record: 4-0, 1-0 Big 12
