Games 1-4

Ohio: Loss

Despite their size, the Ohio Bobcats are no joke. The Cats have not suffered a losing season since 2008, and have competed against a plethora of Power 5 opposition over said span. Syracuse is awful, Ohio is their season-opening foe, and the game is on the road.

Rutgers: Loss

The Scarlet Knights struggle at football themselves, but they are not as bad as the Orange. Rutgers performed better than Syracuse in what is usually a better conference; enough said, right?

The Orange will surely have a hard time looking past their Ohio loss from the week prior as well, giving the Knights an even clearer path to victory. Rough start for Syracuse, there is no doubt about that.

Albany: Win

I would really like to think that the Orange are not so terrible that they are at risk of falling to the Albany Great Danes on their own field. Syracuse should win this one by over five scores, regardless of how bad they are.

Liberty: Loss

Being new to the FBS scene has not appeared to have affected Liberty too horribly, as the Flames ripped off an outstanding 10-1 record in 2020. And that one loss was to a solid NC State team on the road, by a score of 15-14. Liberty also beat down the Orange during one of their winning streaks last year by 17, in Syracuse. Ouch.
