Games 5-8

Florida State: Loss

This “battle” will be at Doak Campbell Stadium and will be the conference opener for the already defeated Syracuse. Not an overly hard game to predict, is it?

The current state of the FSU football program has them scavenging any win that it can get its hands on, as victories have been hard to come by in recent years. Because of this, the Seminoles will especially enjoy stomping on the Orange in Tallahassee.

Wake Forest: Loss

Syracuse hosted the Demon Deacons in 2020, and boy was that unpleasant for the former. The Deacs won soundly by a final tally of 38-14, and are expected to remain offensively intact for next season. The Orange will have to wait a little bit longer for their first ACC victory, assuming that it ever comes.

Clemson: Loss

Just by typing out the subheading “Clemson: Loss,” I have already wasted too much time on acknowledging this matchup. The score should be around 56-7 if Syracuse is lucky.

Virginia Tech: Loss

Fans of the Hokies have not been too happy with their team’s overall performance, most notably in the second halves of their seasons. Some are even wanting current VT head coach Justin Fuente out the door.

However, this game should be one that even the Hokies feel safe in, especially with having the Orange at home. This will be only their second time playing Syracuse since the Orange joined the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the margin of victory should give off that exact vibe.
