#4: LSU Tigers

Purple and yellow (or gold) is a hit color scheme on any team of any sport that decides to use it. But those two colors can become a problem if they are used to heavily, especially when complementing one another.

LSU does not have this issue, and a big reason is probably to the credit of them usually wearing white at home.

The colors they represent can also be interpreted as paying homage to the illustrious state of Louisiana that they play in, particularly its over-the-top Mardi Gras celebrations. And that is appropriate, as the natives of the state love them some college football.

The Tigers rarely attempt to push any boundaries with their uniform combinations, and refraining from doing so has landed them the 4th-ranked spot on this list.
