Arkansas Football: Razorbacks trending with 4-star safety in 2022
Arkansas football looks to be on the verge of landing a major recruit in the 2022 class as four-star safety Myles Rowser is trending to the Razorbacks.
There is no secret to winning games in the SEC. To do that, you need to have talent and it looks like the Arkansas football program could be adding some serious talent to its 2022 recruiting class by the end of the week.
That’s because the Razorbacks are looking like the favorite to land four-star safety Myles Rowser, a top-200 prospect out of the state of Michigan.
For Arkansas football, it would be a nice recruiting victory and one of the best wins on the trail for cornerbacks coach Sam Carter.
At one point in the recruiting process, Rowser was committed to Michigan. However, the relationship seemed to break down, which led to him re-opening his recruitment.
While he played last season in the state of Michigan, Rowser was at IMG Academy for a time and is currently ranked as the No. 132 prospect overall in the 247 sports composite rankings for 2022.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety is ranked ninth at his position in the composite rankings and even though Arkansas football just offered him in February, the Razorbacks are now in the lead with crystal ball picks from 247 sports.
That’s usually a good sign, especially with Rowser set to make a decision on Sunday. Not only are the Razorbacks trending with expert picks but Rowser also confirmed he would be taking an official visit with Arkansas football too in June.

Why Arkansas football and what it means
Rowser to Arkansas football might seem a little curious, but there are Detroit connections on the staff, which is where he’s from. Plus, from what he told 247 sports ($), the Razorbacks have just done the best job of recruiting him:
"“Arkansas checks all the boxes. They reach out every day to me and my parents. The whole staff is there for questions and support. I’ve met staff from Detroit down there too. They have everything I’m looking for in a school. Coach (Sam) Carter and Coach (Sam) Pittman see me as a day one impact player.”"
Right now, Rowser’s profile will show 90 percent of his crystal ball picks projecting him to Arkansas, but in reality, it’s 100 percent cause one of them is an old Michigan pick.
The Wolverines aren’t in the mix anymore. Michigan State was in his top four, but it appears as though Rowser is headed to SEC country.
And if he does, it will be a huge addition for the Razorbacks. Not only would he be the highest-rated commitment in their 2022 class, but in the three recruiting classes prior, the Hogs signed just five top-200 recruits, which isn’t going to cut it in the SEC West.
