Florida State is in the middle of a rebuild under Mike Norvell so this game might not be as highly-anticipated as it would have been a few years ago, but it’ll still be a great way to open the season for all college football fans.

The Seminoles bring in UCF transfer McKenzie Milton at quarterback and Jordan Travis and Chubba Purdy will be backing him up. Jashaun Corbin will lead a talented backfield and the offense should be much improved this season. The defense, on the other hand, may still be a work in progress so I see the Irish coming to Tallahassee and stealing one to open the year in a tight game.

Final Score: Notre Dame 31, Florida State 23 (1-0)

Toledo seems to have a solid team just about every year in the MAC, but the Irish are just on a different level and this is the home opener which may be played in front of more fans than Notre Dame has seen in two years.

The excitement of being back home coupled with a strong game from Kyren Williams will be the difference here as the Irish will sprint to a three-touchdown win, improving to 2-0.

Final Score: Toledo 20, Notre Dame 42 (2-0)
