Sam Bradford was about as unstoppable as you could possibly get in college football. Seriously, he toyed with defenders at Oklahoma. His 2007 season where he threw for over 3,100 yards and 36 touchdowns against only eight picks was terrific but it was what he did the following year that truly cemented his legacy.
Bradford took domination to a whole other level in 2008. He threw for 4,720 yards, completed 67.9% of his passes and remember those eight interceptions he threw the year before? Well, he did that again but this time, instead of 36 touchdowns he upped that number to 50.
With numbers like that, it came as no surprise that Bradford won pretty much every award possible. The Oklahoma QB took home the Davey O’Brien and Heisman trophies. He was named the Player of the Year by both the Associated Press and Sporting News, he made the All-Big 12 First-Team and was an All-American. Bradford led his team to become the first group in college football history to score 60 or more in five straight games. They ended the year with a 12-1 record as well.
He was pegged for a big Junior season but as was the case for the majority of his NFL career, Bradford would suffer from injuries, most notably, a season-ending shoulder surgery.
If this list was more geared towards picking the best seasons in college football history, Bradford would rank even higher. Be that as it may, his two full years under center were magical.
