4. Ranking every Heisman Trophy Winner: Joe Burrow, LSU Tigers football

A native of Athens, Ohio, when Joe Burrow landed at Ohio State it was like a dream come true, as it would have been an in-state kid taking the helm for the Buckeyes and leading them to a national title. Unfortunately for Ohio State, Burrow did end up bringing a program to the Promised Land, although they were way south in the Bayou, the LSU Tigers.

After playing a few seasons in Columbus, not seeing the field, Burrow made the transfer to LSU, and Tigers fans were ecstatic that he did. After playing in 13 games as a junior, putting up modest numbers, Burrow would go on to have arguably the best passing season of any player to ever play major college football.

As a senior, Burrow lit up the college football landscape, throwing for 4,715 yards and 48 touchdowns, the most by a Heisman winner in history. He was nearly perfect all season long, completing almost 80 percent of his passes, and when you add in his work in the College Football Playoff, he finished the season with 60 touchdowns against only six interceptions.

The Tigers rolled to a perfect season, won the SEC for the first time since 2011, and then steamrolled through the CFP. Burrow easily cruised to the Heisman, and fans will forever have cemented into their minds him sitting on a chair victorious after the national championship game, having a well-deserved cigar.
