The 2021 NFL draft is loaded with quarterback talent but one to watch outside of the first round is Texas A&M football’s Kellen Mond, who could be a steal. Here are his best fits.

Much of the buzz right now surrounding the 2021 NFL draft is centered on the quarterbacks. That will happen after a big trade and a bunch of QB-needy teams jockeying for position.

But one quarterback who won’t go in the top 10 of the 2021 NFL draft, who could prove to be something, someday, is former Texas A&M football standout, Kellen Mond.

Mond was a four-year starter for Texas A&M football and decided not to come back for 2021, even though he could have.

Listed at 6-foot-3, 217 pounds, Mond has the size, speed, and strength to be a solid NFL quarterback. Even though his career completion percentage with the Aggies was 59, he was over 60 percent in each of his last two seasons.

Mond also took a big step forward in 2020 for Texas A&M football and helped guide the Aggies to a 9-1 record, as well as No. 4 overall finish in the final AP poll. He threw 19 touchdowns, compared to just three interceptions. He also ran for four touchdowns and nearly 300 yards.

NFL teams are showing serious interest too as a half-dozen showed up this week for the Texas A&M football pro day, which showcased Mond and others for the Aggies.

The team’s in attendance, according to 247 sports: The Cowboys, Bengals, Steelers, Panthers, Bears and Vikings. Others are surely interested in him too.

At any rate, among teams not wanting to spend a top-10 pick on a quarterback, Mond is going to be a hot commodity, and here are the three best landing spots for him in the 2021 NFL draft.
