Atlantic Coast Conference

Add: Appalachian State Mountaineers

App State has become a very formidable Group of 5 program in the 21st century, currently playing for the Sun Belt Conference. And being located in the state of North Carolina, they have territorial beef with the four NC teams who helped develop the ACC: North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke, and Wake Forest.

Especially with the Atlantic Coast looking quite subpar in totality as of late, this would be an outstanding time for the Mountaineers to get a taste of the Power 5 life.

Remove: Syracuse Orange

They are one of the last programs to join the conference (2013) while having one of the most lackluster histories. To be honest, this decision came down to the Orange and Boston College. However, the Eagles have been a member of the ACC for almost a decade longer than Syracuse, and have gone to two conference championship games in that same stretch. Lastly, for what it is worth, BC is also geographically closer to the coast of the Atlantic Ocean than the Orange. So long, Syracuse.
