#3: Memorial Stadium (Clemson)

A stadium referred to as “Death Valley” is one that you most likely do not want to have to ever visit, especially when the team who inhabits it is a current powerhouse. Clemson welcomes just over 80,000 people to Memorial Stadium every week, and while the tradition of Howard’s Rock is rather dumb, it is still quite unique.

#2: Notre Dame Stadium (Notre Dame)

You heard it here first: Notre Dame plays in Notre Dame Stadium. But all jokes aside, the arena holds around as much as Clemson’s Memorial.

However, the former’s tenant makes up for any closeness with the historical dominance that they have infused into their territory over the decades.

It is almost a perfect oval, with seemingly identical buildings on each long side, with a smaller third one at an end for the jumbotron. All in all, a wonderful stadium for a wonderful program.

#1: Doak Campbell Stadium (Florida State)

The Seminoles possess a stadium as awesome as their team’s history. The site welcomes just under 80,000 people as well, making it around the overall size of numbers 2 and 3 on this list. But Doak has one thing that no other ACC football location does not, and that is the war chant.

Such an intimidating tradition gives the Noles the edge for the best atmosphere in the entire conference. If you disagree, just imagine yourself on a team visiting Tallahassee to face FSU before you get back to me: you’re inside, waiting to head to your sideline, then you hear the drumline, followed by the overbearing brass.

Lastly, you sense the chanting of thousands fading in, as they anticipate your downfall. Absolutely chilling.
