Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is regarded as one of the best recruiters in the entire country and he has constructed a roster that is capable of making a playoff run. To make a run to the championship, however, Georgia is going to need some of these talented players to break out and have standout seasons due to departures to the NFL draft or from preseason injuries.

The Bulldogs lost some considerable talent on the defensive side of the ball, especially in the secondary. Starting cornerbacks Tyson Campbell and Eric Stokes departed for the NFL, alongside safety Richard LeCounte III. Another loss in the secondary was cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, who transferred to Miami.

Azeez Ojulari was the Bulldogs best pass rusher last season and now he is in the NFL. Kirby Smart has put an emphasis on recruiting outside linebacker talent and it is time for some of those guys to step up and make an impact on the field.

Offensively, the Bulldogs lost some serious firepower due to injury. All-American candidate George Pickens suffered a knee injury during spring practice and is likely out for the season. That means that someone in that receivers room will need to step up and deliver a big season and be the leader that Pickens was supposed to be on the field for Georgia this season.

Georgia also lost Ben Cleveland up front and they will look to get their offensive line back to the elite level that it was at a couple of years ago.

There is no shortage of star player candidates for the Bulldogs, but these are the three who I think will become stars in 2021.
