Florida State Football: 4 Biggest threats on Seminoles 2021 schedule
By Austin Lloyd
#2: Florida Gators
The Gators are losing a boatload of offensive talent to this upcoming NFL Draft. But this is the university of Florida we’re talking about, and HC Dan Mullen is an offensive mastermind. UF will be just fine.
It doesn’t even end there. Not only can the Gators simply outman and outcoach the Seminoles without any attention being paid to surrounding circumstances, but the latter will be on the road after four previous battles against ruthless adversaries (at Clemson, vs. NC State, vs. Miami, at Boston College). Ouch.
#1: Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Remember that stuff I said about Florida being exceptionally capable of both outplaying and outcoaching the Seminoles? Well just copy and paste that to this part of the rankings as well.
Irish HC Brian Kelly is not exactly a people person, but he has certainly proven that you do not have to be America’s sweetheart to win football games; and I am confident in my ability to guess which one he cares more about.
The University of Notre Dame has one of the richest histories in all of collegiate football, and with that image comes attrition. They have every player required to handle Florida State football, just like the Gators do.
The one difference between the two is that ND will have a much sturdier identity. The Seminoles will feel sore after this one, and it will be nothing more than their first game of the season. What a warm welcome to 2021 for FSU.
