Baylor Football: 3 position battles to watch during spring ball

After a disappointing 2020, Baylor football is looking for answers, as there are key positions battles to watch out for heading into the season.

After a Sugar Bowl to cap off their historic 2019 season, the Baylor football team took one of the biggest stumbles of 2020. Matt Rhule left for the Carolina Panthers, inserting Dave Aranda, defensive coordinator of LSU.

There is hope in 2021, as the Bears bring back quite of experience from the previous season.

Specifically on defense, as they only lose one starter from a year ago. JACK William Bradley-King departed for the NFL and is expected to be selected in the draft, that begins at the end of the month.

However, the offense had key players move on, whether it means declaring for the NFL or taking their talent somewhere else in college football.

Even with the 2-7 record, the Bears were more than competitive in the majority of their games. Three of the Bears’ losses were by single digits, one specifically against Fiesta Bowl Champions, Iowa State.
