DE. Quincy Roche. 4. 30. Pick Analysis. Miami. player. Scouting Report

Another defense end will come off the board for Miami in the third round and this would be excellent value for a team like the Jets.

Quincy Roche came to Miami as a transfer from Temple and he made an instant impact both on the field and in the locker room. Finishing the year with 4.5 sacks, Roche’s impact on the field extended to well beyond just rushing the passer. He was consistently asked to drop into coverage and it nearly paid off with some turnovers in some situations. After an impressive showing at the Senior Bowl, Roche might be one of the most underrated players in the draft.

It is no secret that the New York Jets will be going through yet another rebuild. The team hired San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh to be the next head coach and he is regarded as one of the best developers of defensive line talent in the league.

After signing Carl Lawson and Sheldon Rankins in the offseason, the Jets may not need to take a defensive lineman early, but they should still add to the group at some point.

Roche is versatile and could be a starter sooner rather than later.

Projection: No. 66 overall to the Jets
