Several big names are leaving Clemson football to take their football talents to the NFL following the Tigers’ 2020 run, including record-breaking running back Travis Etienne and the famously long-haired quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

With such a sizable change of pace taking Clemson’s offensive regime by storm, most individuals could certainly understand the Tigers using 2021 as a year to step back and regroup for better days (similarly to how they did just that in 2017).

However, this is Dabo Swinney’s Clemson we are talking about. Within the last decade, they have truly broken past the barriers that held them back early in his head coaching career with the team. They are a powerhouse now, in every sense of the term. And with said term comes attrition, which the Tigers certainly have holstered to unleash upon their next season’s opponents.

Speaking of these opponents, though, that is another predominant hiccup in some believing too much of the 2021 Clemson hype. Even I must say that there are a multitude of foes listed on their upcoming stretch that sound intimidating, to say the least.
