1. Aqeel Glass was magic yet again

The last two weeks were all about Aqeel Glass. The senior quarterback was the only person that was a must-see as Deion Sanders coaching Jackson State. Glass was the sure-fire NFL prospect who was finally going to get a platform to show what he could do.

Then we had to wait for what seemed like a year. Teams postponed because of COVID-19. Finally, Glass would get the national stage ironically against Sanders and the JSU Tigers. Glass did not disappoint in their win against Jackson State, throwing for 440 yards and six touchdowns.

Glass had the stage again Saturday in prime-time in the Magic City Classic. Though he started out slow, Glass got into a rhythm in the second half and threw for 372 yards and three touchdowns in their 38-14 win against rival Alabama State.

Glass’ calm under pressure demonstrated he has the composure to play at the next level. Not only does glass have the intangibles, Glass’ measurables are off the charts. He has the size ( 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds) and the arm to play in the NFL.

Glass demonstrated in both games tremendous pocket awareness and arm talent. Not only did Glass push the ball down the field, but showed touch on seam routes and zip to get the ball between defenders.
