Several programs are dominant on and off the field. Michigan football is among one of the most successful programs on the field. They are also one of the most successful programs in college football in terms of developing players for the NFL.

Michigan football has had 93 players selected in the NFL draft since 2000. This is the 10th highest among all college football programs. They’ve also had 14 players selected in the first round of the NFL draft since 2000. This is tied for 13th in the country.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Wolverines had 10 players drafted. Their lone first-round selection was center Cesar Ruiz who was selected by the New Orleans Saints with the 24th overall pick. In the second round, linebacker Josh Uche was drafted 60th overall by the New England Patriots. Half of their draftees in the 2020 NFL Draft were selected in the sixth round.

In this year’s 2021 NFL Draft, the Wolverines have several players that have the potential to be high picks. Kwity Paye comes in as one of the top edge rushers in the 2021 NFL Draft. Offensive tackles Jalen Mayfield has been up-and-down the draft projections but the need for the position has elevated his stock once again.

There are projected to be three Wolverines selected in the first three rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft and here’s where they could land.
