Despite some down years on the field, Florida State Football has some intriguing prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft

During the years where Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher were the head coaches, Florida State football was a factory, where some of the games’ elite talent went and then became a first-round pick when they decided it was time to leave Tallahassee.

The years since Fisher left have been tough, but the Seminoles still have some of the most intriguing prospects at positions of need in the draft and are likely to hear their names called in next week’s NFL draft.

While there is not a standout, top-10 lock in this year’s draft out of Florida State, the guys that will be picked are likely to be asked to be contributors on their teams from day one.

On the offensive side of the ball, wide receiver Tamorrion Terry is one of the most interesting receiver prospects that could be picked in the middle rounds. Terry has size and speed, but he was never able to put everything together during his time in Tallahassee and that is what has made him tough to project for the NFL.

Florida State football’s three best prospects in this draft will all come off of the defensive side of the ball.

Defensive tackle Marvin Wilson, safety Hamsah Nasirildeen and cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. have some serious upside as draft prospects.

Wilson and Nasirildeen were thought to be first-round picks heading into the year, but both had disappointing seasons. Samuel Jr. has seen a rise leading up to the draft, where he is now being discussed as a borderline first-round pick.

This won’t be the best draft class Florida State has ever produced, but there are still NFL starters out of this group. Here is where I think the Seminoles top draft prospects will land in the NFL draft.
