North Carolina Football is a program trending upwards and that is shown by the talent the Tar Heels are putting in this year’s NFL draft. Where will these prospects land?

Ever since Mack Brown returned to Chapel Hill to take back over the North Carolina football program, there has been optimism and on-field results to show that the program is trending toward contending for an ACC championship.

One piece of evidence to show that the talent is growing is the talent that they are putting into this year’s NFL draft. The Tar Heels have some of the best prospects at their respective positions and guys that should be instant impact players at the next level.

Last season, North Carolina had one of, if not the top, running back duos in the country with Javonte Williams and Michael Carter.

Williams is one of the most powerful runners in this year’s draft and is going to be a three-down back in the NFL. Michael Carter is one of the faster and quicker backs in the class and I think that he should be able to find a team that is looking for a change of pace back to bring some home run ability to the offense.

Like running back, North Carolina had one of the top wide receiver duos in the country in Dyami Brown and Dazz Newsome and they were both explosive receivers that had the ability to stretch the field in a big way.

Brown has been getting more love recently in the lead-up to the draft and it would surprise nobody if he wound up going earlier than expected.

Newsome is a bit more of a late-round prospect, but expect for him to contend for spot in a training camp this year. Defensively, the only prospect the Tar Heels have is linebacker Chazz Surratt and I think he is one of the more underrated defenders in the draft.

These guys possess a lot of talent, but it is unclear where exactly they will land. Here are my predictions.
