Ohio State Football: Predicting where top Buckeyes land in NFL draft
One of the most difficult linebackers to project is Ohio State’s Baron Browning. Browning is one of the most athletic linebackers in the draft and showed flashes of dominance while at Ohio State. Browning is very athletic and at 6’3 240 LBS, those kinds of athletes can be hard to find later in the draft.
Why Browning could fall is his inconsistency, There are stretches of games where Browning disappears and that is not something that can happen for a guy that is as talented as he is. Don’t be surprised if Browning winds up being one of the better defensive players in this draft.
A team that is always looking to add talented linebackers is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ever since Ryan Shazier suffered a career-ending injury, Pittsburgh has been looking for a linebacker to pair with Devin Bush and form a dominant duo at the position. I think this could be a great landing spot for Browning and the Steelers are a team that should be able to get the most out of such a talented player.
Projection: 87th to the Pittsburgh Steelers
