Alabama. Patrick Surtain II. 123. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. 10. player

There’s no question that cornerback is the Cowboys’ top need heading into the draft and sitting at the 10th overall spot, it’s almost too perfect to not take one here. This isn’t a reach at this point and it’s also probably going to give Dallas the top available cornerback in the draft.

That’s where Patrick Surtain II comes into play.

The Alabama cornerback had himself quite the career in Tuscaloosa, recording 116 total tackles, six tackles for loss, four interceptions, and 24 pass breakups. He finished his Tide career with a national title and improved his stock in the playoff run to the championship as he was as lockdown as it gets.

Before the end of the season, I would have tabbed Surtain as a mid-to-late first-round pick, but his stock improved so much that I see him as the first cornerback getting drafted.

Dallas will get a future Pro Bowl cornerback here.
