2021 NFL Mock Draft: Mac Jones explodes into top 5 in final edition
Despite playing just two seasons with Alabama after redshirting in 2018, Christian Barmore made a huge impact on that defensive line and he worked himself into a first-round prospect.
As a freshman in 2019, he recorded 26 total tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, and two pass deflections in 11 games. He only got better as a sophomore with 37 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three pass breakups, and three forced fumbles. He now looks like one of the Browns’ top targets.
Cleveland added Jadeveon Clowney this offseason but lost Sheldon Richardson and any help on the interior of the defensive line would be welcomed.
The Browns’ offense seems to be just fine and the top needs are all on the line and in the defensive backfield. Barmore would be a major upgrade up front.
