The first round of the 2021 NFL Draft is in the books and there were some serious curveballs.

The first curveball had to have been the selection of Trey Lance at No. 3 overall by the 49ers. Penei Sewell shockingly fell past the Bengals at No. 5 and landed with the Lions as Cincinnati took Ja’Marr chase to reunite him with Joe Burrow. And then there was Chicago trading up to No. 11 to take Justin Fields.

Reaches happened all round long with guys like Alex Leatherwood, Jamin Davis, Payton Turner, and Eric Stokes.

With every reach, there is a snub. And here are the top three snubs from the first round.

If Rondale Moore never got injured, we might be talking about him as a top-10 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He has that kind of talent.

The former All-American receiver had quite the welcome party as a freshman, catching 114 passes for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns. He rushed for another 200-plus yards and two scores on over 10 yards per carry as he was one of the most dynamic offensive players in the country.

Then the injury bug bit him hard as a sophomore as he played in the first four games before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He had 29 catches for 387 yards and two touchdowns before going down for the year. And then in year three, he played three games and caught 35 passes for 270 yards.

Moore was just never healthy enough after his freshman season to really improve his draft stock but he was always a first-round talent.

I had him going in the 20-30 range right after Rashod Bateman, but it’s a shock that he fell.
